This is a beginners introduction to using the core services in G Suite. We will cover using:
- GMail
- Google Drive
- Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawing, Forms and touch on Sites
This introduction is offered as a 2 hour session and can be run at Wheatley Park School or on your own site. We will try to combine schools where possible.

Google Classroom - working with your learners and guardians
Google Classroom allows pupils, teachers and guardians to work together in a seamless manner. We will cover:
- How to get started with Google Classroom
- Posting announcements, assignments and quizzes.
- Managing pupil work and assessment options.
- Working with guardians.
- Managing the folder structure Classroom generates in Drive.
This is offered as a 2 hour session and can be run at Wheatley Park School or on your own site. Its aimed at teaching staff, not admin staff. We will try to combine schools where possible.
Google Sites - building websites for your school
Google Sites - building websites for your school
Google Sites allows you to build an unlimited number of websites easily and quickly. These can be mapped to your domain name or sub-domains (e.g. portal.wheatleypark.org). You can use a Google Site as your main school website and therefore, have a free and easy to maintain site.
On this course we will cover:
- How to make a Site
- How to add text, images, videos, Forms and embed content from Drive
- How to add dynamic content - e.g. Twitter feeds.
- How to customise the site, change logos, favicon etc
- How to view site analytics - so who is looking at your masterpiece?
- How to publish a site externally and internally
This is offered as a 2 hour session and can be run at Wheatley Park School or on your own site. Its aimed at experienced users with good a good basic level of computer literacy. We will try to combine schools where possible.

Going further with Docs, Sheets and Sites - building systems for your school
On of the exciting features of G Suite is the ease at which you can build systems to aim the smooth running of your organisation. With this in mind, we will cover:
- Use of key add-ons in Google Docs, Sheets and Forms
- Use of Macros in Sheets
- Timed executions of tasks
- Mail merge with Docs and Sheets
- Triggering tasks from Form submissions
This is a 2 hour session and would be run for a small group at Wheatley Park School. Its aimed a competent IT users who need to build systems for their school. We can tailor the content to the exact type of systems people are interested in.
Admin Training
Admin Training
This is the course for any users who will have admin roles delegated to them. Will will cover:
- User management
- Group permissions
- ChromeOS management
- Chrome user settings
- Security good practice
This is a technical course aimed at users who will be doing day-to-day management of G Suite at your site. It will be a 2 hour session and can be extended to allow the participants to wok towards Google Certified Admin status. It will be held at Wheatley Park School.
